    True love never ends.

A wedding I went to had a baseball bat to sign as their guestbook, which they’d later display at their house. Such a novel idea!

True love is making mistakes but being able to solve them together.

The coolest/cutest things I’ve seen at a wedding recently were:
-the couple had a sign above them that said “happily ever after” in a forest wedding
-the couple had signs behind them at the reception that said “mrs” and “mr”
-all of the guests got to put their “fingerprint leaf” on the tree that would then be displayed at the couples home later
-one of my friends who is getting married next weekend picked up a vintage book and added lace, and then cut out a square in the middle inside and is going to have the ring bearer hold the book and bring it to them during the wedding because they love reading together!

True love is what I see when I look at my parents.

    1. The wedding we were at on Saturday had a candy bar, with loads of candy in the wedding colors! It was so fitting for the bride & groom, very creative, and kept the guests occupied until dinner 🙂

    2. True Love is…teamwork!

The past wedding I saw at, the groom surprised his bride by playing & singing a song he had written for her. It was absolutely beautiful and the bride was so touched. Hardly a dry eye in the whole place!

I always said that “true love was holding the puke bucket.”
The glories of new-love can fade away in time, and in the midst of Hollywood, I think it’s easy to lose sight of what love it all about. It’s being the steadfast rock to each other, through the good and the not-so-great! In sickness and in health. I watched my dad hold mom’s puke pail in the hospital bed several years ago, and he was filled with so much love and tenderness, that in that moment, I knew that’s what true love really looked like.

True love is the mutual belief in each other as the best person you each know.

I haven’t been to a wedding recently, but the coolest thing I’ve seen is the fingerprint tree guestbook. Very awesome idea. 🙂

True love is never giving up on the other person even when times get tough.

There was a wedding with a great guest gift idea, instead of the traditional leaving candy or some small goodie at each table for the reception the couple set up a farmer’s market booth. They had 100% recycled/usable bags at the front, and you could walk down the table choosing from an array of fresh fruit, veggies and even artisan breads. Thought that was pretty unique.

TRUE LOVE IS ALWAYS HAVING EACH OTHER’S BACK THROUGH THE THICK AND THIN, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

True love is not a feeling, it is a decision and a promise and a commitment.

  12. Katy K / June 22nd, 2011 14:56

A wedding I’m attending in July has the couple braiding a cord instead of a unity candle or sand. Unique!

At my friends wedding her old a cappella group from college serenaded her and the groom. It was so adorable.

True love is not caring about who the person was before you met them, but who they are now.

True Love is when while in the midst of a “fight” you are still smiling at the other person!

  15. Erika / June 22nd, 2011 16:29

PS, digging the live plant trend (i.e., succulents) at weddings.

    beautiful shoot!!

  17. Melissa Jean / June 29th, 2011 17:15

True love is the last slice of pie. =)

  18. Melissa Jean / June 29th, 2011 17:17

At a recent wedding there was a “wedding challenge” in which the groom had to complete scavenger hunt type tasks to be able to see his bride before the wedding. I thought it was simply adorable

True love is accepting love in the form the other person chooses to give it – it may not be flowers, it may be making sure your car is clean and pretty for you.

  20. Tracy / June 29th, 2011 17:43

True love is when you are truly committed to the person when they are their true/vulnerable/raw (sometimes ugly) selves. It stands up to evil, naysayers, and resists ALL temptation to cut and run. True love is a repeated choice made often, regardless of where the feelings are in the moment…and if you are patient, discerning and choose the right partner, it makes the choice *that* much easier.

  21. allegra / June 29th, 2011 17:53

True Love …. serves others & feels no burden.

  22. Tracy / June 29th, 2011 18:01

A fun/original idea I saw was this: I went to a wedding where they had sewn tulip flowers and filled the inside with rice. When the flowers were lightly thrown forward, the rice unfolded from the fabric and fell over the bride and groom as they left their reception.

  23. Elizabeth / June 29th, 2011 18:22

True love is ever evolving, but is always intoxicating.
Such a gorgeous shoot. The light, the colors, and the elegance played down by the rustic setting… breathtaking! The beautiful jewelry compliments everything perfectly. (sigh)

  24. Corrina / June 29th, 2011 18:50

True love is…staying committed, even when it doesn’t feel like true love anymore, because true love goes through seasons.

  25. Corrina / June 29th, 2011 18:51

Hmmm, I haven’t been to many weddings recently. But I love when a bride wears or changes into comfy shoes! (which is something I did!)

  26. Brittany B. / June 29th, 2011 18:56

True love is laying down your desires and wants, for the other person’s desires and wants.

  27. Rachel / June 29th, 2011 19:43

True love is shown through sacrifice.

  28. sheri / June 29th, 2011 20:25

    True Love is…grace & forgiveness.

  29. sheri / June 29th, 2011 20:27

A unique wedding touch I thought was super cute was the couple’s favorite snacks wrapped up as a stack of gifts as a centerpiece for guests to unwrap and eat while waiting for their meal!

  30. Donna O'Neil / June 29th, 2011 21:15

I saw a burlap banner that was very interesting at a wedding recently.

  31. Donna O'Neil / June 29th, 2011 21:15

    True love knows no boundaries.

  32. Mari / June 29th, 2011 21:25

    True love is forgiving.
