Brazil Workshop with Cana VP
The past couple of days have been a pure delight! I am honored to have been invited to co-host a photography + movie making workshop in Sao Paulo Brazil with Cana VP.
The photography community here in Brazil is hungry to evolve. Currently all of the weddings happen at night and the couples don’t meet up before the wedding for photographs in the daylight. The photographers want to see weddings change and they realize that they have to instigate the change. I guess that’s why they shipped Ben Potter, Drew Barefoot and I all the way down to South America. We have had a wonderful time, inspiring, encouraging and teaching them all about why and how we do what we do. Many of the students have Canon 5D Mark IIs and are learning to shoot video as well. It was fun to teach alongside my friends about how to work well with each other instead of competing on the wedding day.
Sharon, who helped arrange the whole workshop is getting married this Saturday to Fernando. We photographed their engagement session with the class yesterday and will be shooting their wedding this weekend at a beach a few hours from Sao Paulo called Ubatuba. This has been an amazing adventure already and it’s only half over.
Check out the engagement movie Ben + Drew edited in class just this morning. They shared all of their movie making secrets. These guys are amazingly talented and fast movie makers!
