Clark Family {Oklahoma City}

Chris and Emery are some really fantastic friends of mine. I roomed with Chris in our early 20-somethings. I was in his wedding and he was in mine. I photographed their engagement session when I first started my business as well as their first born son Ezra just a week after he came into our world. My office was actually located under Chris’ bunk bed! Almost 5 years ago they left sunny California for dusty Oklahoma. My mom used to tell me that when friends move away you don’t loose them because you keep them in your heart and when you get back together it’s like you were never apart. The same is true for my dear friend’s Chris and Emery.

We were so happy to visit them recently while in Oklahoma City to shoot another good friend’s wedding. Their lives have grown and changed since our early 20s. Emery is a world famous Mom Blogger. She has a way with words and honesty; check her out - Moms Are For Everyone. Chris is an incredible musician. He played viola at Joel’s wedding and DJ’d the reception. They are one creative couple!

This was my first time meeting their newest addition; Myer. I was delighted to introduce my baby to the kids. I remember bonding with Ezra when he was Asher’s age like it was yesterday, so it was really special for me to watch Ezra love on my baby.

Also, along with photographing their family, I mentored a sweet photographer named Catherine Gikas. She photographs a lot of families, so it was perfect to shoot the Clarks! Catherine got some amazing shots as well.
