Greg + Sarah {San Luis Obispo}
Who? Greg + Sarah.
What? A wedding!
Where? Tiber Canyon Ranch, San Luis Obispo.
Why? FOR THE LOVE!
You think you know someone after you get them in front of the camera for an hour or so. And then you shoot their wedding and meet their people. It was clear that Sarah + Greg were well loved because they love well. I have never before been so moved by a groom’s speech. Before he began speaking his guests erupted in applause and cheering. His speech was all about the LOVE of people. Well, let me simply quote Greg.
“A wise old man once told me that through out the course of one’s life, the man who makes the most the friends has a far richer life than the man who makes the most money and acquires the most things. And if you follow your heart and do what you love the opportunities to create such friendships increases dramatically. Since that conversation over 20 years ago the value I place on friends and family continues to grow every year. Along my life’s path, the words of my wise old friend are always there and over time the meaning of these words becomes more and more clear. The importance of friends and family in your life should never be underestimated. We all have so much to teach each other, learn from each other, give to each other, and receive from each other. Everyone here is full of fascinating information much of which is unique to that particular person and if we take time to pay attention the lessons learned are profound. When you think of all the things you have accomplished in your life that you are proud of a very small percent of these things could have been accomplished alone. I have finally begun to realize that a lifetime of great memories, experiences, conversation, and quality time spent with family and friends is worth far more than anything else could ever be. Because one thing I know to be true in this world is that we are nothing without each other. Thank you so much for being here.”
Guests laughed, cried and jumped to their feet in a standing ovation! I was blessed to be reminded of such a simple yet profound truth. Thank you Greg for sharing your heart and letting me get to know the deeper and richer you.
Now I get the pleasure of reminding you from this moment on of your love and marriage…
