Jonathan & Jenny (Yosemite)

This wedding was long anticipated for me. Not just because it was in such a stunning venue as Yosemite, but because I’ve known Jenny for some years now. She was best friends with my wife in high school and later became good friends to me (before I even met my wife). Jenny was one of those people who stood out to me because of her sincerity of heart and openness to love. I knew her through some mutual friends and would run into her downtown and would always end up in an hour’s long conversation about God or people or whatever. She is someone who has extended herself to countless people as a friend, mentor, and confidant. Bryan (our pastor who officiated the wedding) mentioned during the ceremony that Jenny has been in 17 weddings! That’s how many people count Jenny as one of their closest friends. My wife was one of her hottest bridesmaids so it was fun to have her on the other side of the camera! Jenny’s parents and grandparents got married in front of the Wawona Hotel. Jenny and Jonathan got married behind the hotel, making it a more private and intimate ceremony facing the forest. Everything about the wedding was magical. The ceremony was at 10:30 in the morning making it an amazing way to start the day, Jenny rode up in a horse drawn carriage accompanied by her dad, and the views of half-dome for our after wedding portraits was breathtaking! There were many tears shed during the course of the day and I also happened to loose it when her father handed Jonathan a pair of Jenny’s first shoes after he walked her down the aisle. My wife and I are so happy for Jonathan and Jenny and so blessed to be called their friends.
