Corey and Emily expressed their love to one another and tied the knot at the beautiful Central Coast wedding venue Willow Oak Estate, a 65-acre private ranch that stands as a magical location for couples to get married and start this new chapter of their lives. Their main goal of the day was to bring loved ones together and celebrate this special day, which was made possible by the help of their incredible vendors, including San Luis Obispo wedding coordinator Mady Bell Events and San Luis Obispo photographer Cameron Ingalls.

Their Love Story
“We met on the dating app Hinge in September 2018 and had our first date at a cocktail bar in San Francisco called The Beehive. We hit it off immediately and spent the next few months getting to know each other through romantic dinners out in San Francisco and hikes around the Bay Area with Emily’s pup Mojo (Mojo gave two paws up to Corey).
We moved in together in March of 2020 in the first few days of the pandemic, and during the lockdown our love grew stronger as we sheltered in place, binged Netflix shows, and cooked cozy dinners together. When the pandemic seemed to ease a bit we planned a road trip to Utah, which was a perfect opportunity for Corey to finally “ask a question.” Corey brought the ring with him on the Narrows Hike, which is an incredible hike through a river with waist deep water bordered by amazing canyon walls. We came across a private offshoot called Orderville Canyon with a serene river, boulders, canyon walls, and trees. Corey immediately got an incredible adrenaline rush and knew it was time. He had planned a speech but as soon as he got on one knee his entire speech disappeared and all Corey could say was “Will you marry me?!”. Emily of course said yes, but Corey didn't hear her the first two times so she ended up saying yes three times!”
Memorable Moments
“1. For Corey, seeing Emily walk down the aisle. For Emily, walking down the aisle toward Corey and seeing the way he looked at her. 2. The ceremony was so special because even though we were surrounded by 140 loved ones, we were completely locked in on each other. Expressing our love for and commitment to each other outside in the sunshine by willow trees and a beautiful pond felt so intimate. 3. During the reception, sitting at the sweetheart table, looking out at our guests, and taking in all the love and support surrounding us from our friends and family who traveled to celebrate with us. 4. Emily's musical family playing/singing a few songs during the dancing part of the reception was so special and unforgettable. The energy on the dance floor the whole night was out of this world!”
The Details
“Our biggest priority for our wedding was to bring our loved ones together to bond and get to know each other, which we were able to accomplish by the venue that we picked, Willow & Oak Estate. It's a private property and we rented it for the whole weekend. The property had overnight accommodations for our families, and various spaces to host multiple events throughout the weekend (like a pool hangout, after party, and day-after brunch). We also really wanted to showcase our relationship throughout the wedding, and one thing we did to highlight the experiences we've had as a couple was to name each reception table after a place we've traveled together, and include a photo of us from that location at the table. We were also very intentional about our song choices throughout the event and used music to embody who we are as a couple. Our color palette was sage green and various shades of light pinks and champagnes. We aimed for a pastel, springtime, natural aesthetic that didn't take away from the gorgeous vineyard backdrops.”
